South East Asia Dive Shop, Liveaboard & Dive Site Reviews

The tropical climate in South East Asia and some of the world's most noted dive sites make this a region that many divers return to year after year. Surprisingly Brunei offers the most diverse range of diving opportunities, with 4,500 hectares of coral reefs and coastlines steeped with manta rays, hammerhead sharks, grey tip sharks and lots of exotic fish. In addition disused oil rig platforms, shipwrecks and coral pinnacles add to Brunei's diving portfolio.

Diving in Thailand is a fairly well worn path, therefore great for novice divers looking to get certified. The choice here is vast with popular diving spots easily accessible off the coast of Phuket or Koh Samui. Despite the popularity diving here is still highly recommended with giant barracuda, sharks, manta rays and sea cows gracing the waters.

Alternatively head off the beaten track in north Malaysia to the remote island of Pulau Redang home to some of the best coral reefs in the world, plus sea turtles and sharks. The underwater world around Indonesia is also a diver’s paradise, with nearly a quarter of the world’s reefs are found in here and there are over 3,500 species living on them.

Cambodia and Vietnam are fairly new diving destinations offering fantastic dive sites. Vietnam's waters are rich in marine life including coral gardens and rock formations which are home to scorpion fish, lion fish, moray eels and giant grouper. Diving in Cambodia is still being discovered, what is known so far is that the marine life is comparable to neighbouring Thailand with the advantage of being relatively untouched.
