Diving in Norway is best experienced in the winter when if you're lucky you can experience diving with killer whales in Lofoten. This stunning location is also filled with kelp forests, wrecks and lots and lots of fish.
Wreck diving is very popular in Norway and no where boasts more wrecks than Narvik which is home to fighter planes and World War II vessels. Although it is Gulen that claims to have one of the best wrecks in the world from World War II, the Frankenwald which is 90% intact. More plane and ship wrecks are waiting in Norway's South, The Trondheimfjord and in Finnmark.
Marine live is plentiful in Saltstraumen which is the world's strongest maelstrom, fish here include coal fish and halibut. Central Norway is also full of marine life including kelp forests, crabs and scallops plus interesting wall diving. The Trondheimfjord is also home to many rare marine creatures including rabbit fish.
