New Zealand Dive Reviews

Sheer size means that New Zealand offers a huge array of diving options around her offshore islands and coastline. Anything and everything from cool waters to tropical reefs, wrecks and giant kelp forests to dramatic dropoffs.

Marine life is well protected and waters are very clear. Popular dive locations include Poor Knights Island Marine Reserve and the majestic fjords of the South Island. Kelp forests are best experienced at Stewart Island while more tropical diving is found on the reefs of the North Islands. The wreck of the famous Greenpeace vessel the Rainbow Warrior lies within the Cavalli Islands.

Diving in New Zealand is best for visibility from January to June when the seas are also at their most rich with marine creatures.
