Malaysia is blessed with some absolutely stunning diving. The east coast of Sabah, on the island of Borneo, has some of the world's best diving in both the Sulu Sea (north) and the renowned Celebes Sea. Layang-layang boasts schools of hammerhead sharks numbering hundreds, or even thousands of animals.
Peninsular Malaysia is not left out, the Perhentian Islands are surrounded by excellent reefs brimming with life. A little further south on the east coast is Redang which is similar, then quite a bit further south lies Tioman Island where the 1958 classic movie South Pacific was filmed.
