Diving in Jamaica is most peaceful around the caverns and caves of Negril, whilst Montego Bay is home to a marine park and Runway Bay offers reefs brimming with tropical fish.
Negril's dive sites include the Throne Room a 40 foot wide cavern brimming with yellow sponges and neighbouring Rock Cliff Reef, a home to nurse sharks and eels. Diving in Montego Bay is famous for Widow makers cave featuring a 10 feet wide chimney. Runway Bay is not far from shore and boasts a number of diving options whilst Ocho Rios is home to an artificial reef created from an old minesweeper. In addition there is also Port Royal a city which sank following an earthquake in 1692.
