East Timor Dive Reviews

Diving in East Timor includes muck diving however there are plenty of coral reefs, ship wrecks, walls and lots of large fish. Diving here takes place from Dili with trips to Ataruro Island where dolphins and whales play. Underwater you can explore coral walls with spectacular colours, reefs are relatively untouched with pristine sites just waiting to be discovered.

Other dive spots located closer to the shore include Bob's Rock which features unusual smaller creatures such as the pygmy sea horse and ghost pipefish. Reefs and more walls are waiting to be discovered at spots K41 and Wayne's World where large schools of batfish and white tip reef sharks hang out. Visibility is best from May to December and whale sharks, humpbacks, dugongs and manta rays are best spotted from August to November.
