Djibouti Dive Reviews

Nestled in the Horn of Africa, Djibouti still remains a third world country, but one with some spectacular scenery. Whale sharks are found resting here from October through to January feeding on the plankton rich waters making them easy for snorkelers or divers to swim alongside.

A cluster of seven remote islands off the coast of Djibouti known as the 'Seven Brothers' are home to rich varied coral in an area claimed to be the most coral laden in the whole of the Arabian Peninsula. Expect to see large schools of fish and honeycomb morays alongside bottlenose and spinner dolphins. Reef sharks are also usually found in this area.

Visibility varies from 4 metres in Whale shark season to up to 40 metres at other times of the year. The waters are warm but strong currents are common making this a dive spot for the more experienced divers.

There aren't any reviews for dive shops, liveaboards or dive sites in Djibouti yet.
