Bring a dry suit and visit the lakes and rivers of Austria for a unique diving experience. A diverse range of marine life lies in wait from perch to pike and crayfish to freshwater sponges. You can also expect to discover what remains from the 1945 German war machinery including counterfeiting machinery; legend has it that stolen art and gold bullion still remain hidden in the lakes.
The water in lake Attersea is so pure you can drink it. A superb spot for freshwater divers of all levels with up to 30 dive sites including marine plants and animals and even a shipwreck. Diving under the ice is also available from January to March. World War II enthusiasts should dive one of the 70 lakes at Salzkammergut where artefacts still remain.
